Beat the summer heat: Local business to give away free ice cream Thursday

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – The Steve Borklund Insurance Agency in Travelers Rest will be giving away free ice cream to area residents on Thurs., July 13.

The Pink Mama's Ice Cream truck will be parked at the agency from noon until 1 p.m., and you don't have to be a customer to enjoy the giveaway.

Borklund said it's a small way he can thank the local community, one that his agency has been a part of for more than 20 years.

In the past, Borklund has held similar events for area residents, offering free strawberries in spring and free pumpkins in fall.
