Local business to give away free pumpkins Thursday

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – Beginning at 10 a.m. on Thurs., Oct. 12, the Steve Borklund Insurance Agency in Travelers Rest will be giving away free pumpkins to area residents.

Borklund said it's a small way he can thank the local community.

"The Travelers Rest community has been very good to me in the more than 20 years I have been an agent here," he said. "The sign in front of the office just says 'Free Pumpkins,' and we give them to whoever drives up and wants one."

The pumpkin giveaway is scheduled to last until supplies run out.
