Man used phone to take pictures in women's bathroom at Travelers Rest restaurant, police say

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – Travelers Rest police released photos of a man they say is a suspect in a recent voyeurism case, and they are asking members of the public for help in identifying him.

Lt. Thomas Aiken with the department said a man entered the Zaxby's restaurant on Benton Road and went into the ladies' bathroom, where he allegedly attempted to take pictures of a woman by sliding a phone camera under the stall divider wall.

Aiken said the woman screamed and the man ran from the restaurant, first going to the car wash located next door before circling back to get in a dark-colored Jeep to leave the scene.

The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 14.

Anyone who can identify the man in the photos or who was at this restaurant around the time of the incident and saw a man running out of Zaxby’s and in the area is urged to contact Lt. Aiken at 864-834-9029.
