TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – The Greenville County Sheriff's Office said it will take proactive measures starting Wednesday to address traffic complaints about both north and southbound lanes of U.S. Hwy. 25.

In a media release, officials said deputies will conduct intensified traffic enforcement for violations including speeding, aggressive driving, improper lane changes, and following too closely.

"The rise in such dangerous driving behaviors not only poses a significant threat to the lives and property of our community members but can also contribute to road rage incidents, which we have seen too often," officials said.

"We encourage all motorists to exercise caution, obey posted speed limits, and adhere to all traffic laws while traveling on Highway 25 and throughout Greenville County," officials said. "Our dedicated deputies will be deployed strategically along the highway to target serious moving violations."
