Updated: Library board votes to remove all displays amid Pride controversy

Updated (June 27, 2023; 5:30 a.m.):

GREENVILLE, S.C. – On Monday, the Greenville County Library Board of Trustees passed a temporary motion to remove all displays and bulletin boards across Greenville County libraries.

No new displays with the exception of those about library events or new materials that have been approved will be allowed until the end of September, when the board said they will propose new display guidelines.
