The school originally opened to serve 6th- and 7th-graders, but community feedback led to the addition of the 5th-grade class, according to Courtney Eidson, the school's founder and executive director .

"Our specialized programs and supportive community are designed to help students flourish academically and personally," Eidson said. "By focusing on students in 5th through 7th grade, we aim to provide a solid foundation for their educational journey, ensuring they have the necessary skills and confidence to succeed in their future endeavors."

In addition to the 5th- through 7th- grade program, Trailhead offers workshops, seminars, and community events focused on enhancing the family's emotional and social health, ensuring that parents and caregivers are equipped with the necessary tools and support to assist their child’s educational and personal journey.
